We come to Gold Coast every time we travel Always and always our choice is Shiraz. The best food. My partner and I came for my birthday dinner on a Tuesday night. Place was relatively busy, but staff were very attentive considering. We received a free platter for spending over $100, which was easy to do as we got a few cocktails and shared a large main dish. The drinks took a little while to come out, but we assumed the bartender may be new and staff also took a few photos of our drinks before bringing them over which was fine. Food was extremely tasty, servings were generous and priced appropriately. The waitress did not disclose to us that sparkling water was an additional cost and we wished that some side bread also came with the main meal. Not a huge deal, but something to think about. Overall good experience and would definitely come back on our next trip to GC! ~ JESS B
We visit this amazing restaurant about 9 years by now. We are very proud of having in Gold Coast the high level of costumer service Shiraz always had. But it seems that it never stop getting better and better. Today with a very full house and with no reservation we were very well served by Hootan, Isa and Erfan with the same standard of 9 years ago! This is priceless. We hope that Hootan and Isa never leave Shiraz Team work. We could witness the progress of Hootan, Isa and some other members of this beautiful team and to be very happy for their success. It is a very competent food services business. And what about the food? OMG!!! When we visit Shiraz we do it by heart and knowing about the certainty in eating with pleasure and having satisfaction. What better way to celebrate Christmas Eve than having some delish kebabs, rice and chicken curry with walnut and pomegranate molasses with alcohol. This Persian Restaurant is highly rated for a reason and that's possible to understand only when you try the food. Omg!! Divine!! Portions are huge for the price you pay ...So huge that you can easily have two meals out of them. (Probably because we have a small appetite) . Warm and friendly service makes the whole experience extra special. Did the joojeh torsh and Fesenjan (both server with rice and salad). The kebabs were out of this world..And fesenjan was a right blend of lightly sweet and sour curry with succulent pieces of chicken, yummy but not everyone's cup of tea. Definitely a must if you are in Gold Coast ~ Ozzy K

Absolutely fantastic experience at Shiraz – Best Persian Restaurant & Bar on the Gold Coast! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was simply outstanding – every dish was full of flavor and perfectly executed. The mix of authentic Persian spices and fresh ingredients was a real treat. A special shoutout to Devansh, the server who made my dining experience unforgettable. Not only did he guide me through the menu with expert recommendations, but he also took the time to share insights about the Gold Coast and suggested some great spots to visit during my trip. His attention to detail and friendly service made me feel right at home. If you’re looking for incredible Persian food paired with top-notch service, look no further than Shiraz! I dined in the restaurant and had the shishlick - it was amazing (and great value for money ... the platter could feed 2!). I have never tasted lamb so tender and full of flavour. Julian was my server, he was personable and extremely efficient and seemed to be eveywhere at once. After the lamb dish, there was no way I could manage dessert, so I substituted with a coffeer. A long black was my choice - it had great body and beautiful creme: I had requested "strong" and that is what I got, this was strong and smooth. Well done Shiraz .... I would heartily recommend this diner to anyone who loves great Persian cuisine backed up by impeccable service and amazing music. (i shazammed 5 persian times whilst I was there). ~ Anne M
Fantastic dining experience! The food was so delicious we are still talking about it days later! Small group of 4 (3 adults and 1 kid) - we shared the dip platter then shared the Meatetarian Platter and it was plenty. There was not one thing that we didn’t enjoy. It was all delectable! We sat outside because it was super hot and the fans inside didn’t cut it for us. It was beautifully decorated with French lamp posts outside and the food was presented on lovely platters and dishes. Just one tiny thing to mention is that it was pretty noisy outside because of the traffic on the main road. It is January though and Surfers is packed at this time of the year! Do not let this stop you coming to this beautiful yummy restaurant. ~ Linda S
Being from a middle eastern background we are not too unfamiliar with great kebabs and great authentic tasting middle eastern foods. Even so, Shiraz restaurant really exceeded all our expectations. The restaurant came highly recommended to us and by all means I could see why. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with great genuine smiles and were made feel at home. Then came the appetizers, which in all honesty the sizing was almost that of a main course. We had ordered the mix platter for the main and when it arrived the sheer size of the food was incredibly generous. The taste was a whole other experience. I don't go out of my way to write many reviews, but this experience, was worth my time, the money and the trip to the Gold Coast from Adelaide all in one. The first sign of a good restaurant is a line at the door. an even better sign is that the line is still there when you leave. The joint was packed. I was recommend to try Shiraz by a Persian student who now resides in Australia. Shiraz is excellent - the food excellent, the service excellent and the staff warm. I booked with a groupon voucher which got a we bit screwed up due to groupon problems. They honoured the voucher and assisted me to resolve the issue. Even without the voucher the value was exceptional. As we hiked back to the carpark, we noticed that virtually every other restaurant was a long way from packed. Clearly when you do it right the word gets around. Shiraz is fully 5 star - thank you ~ G C
One of the best places I’ve ever eaten at. I don’t eat Persian food often so wasn’t sure what to expect: amazing flavours in every dish apparently. The Mezze Platter was an instant winner for me and a perfect starter for the night. The Noon-o-Kabob chicken and lamb skewers had that perfect smoky flavour you would want in a kebab. I could’ve eaten 10 of the lamb honestly. It was my first time trying Okra in the Bamieh dish as well and it was amaziiing. The texture was perfect and it worked so well with the lamb and Saffron Rice, which was also cooked perfectly. To end the night, we had Persian Tea and some Persian Orange Cake which were both delicious! Not only was the food incredible but the service was amazing too. Everyone was very attentive and helpful, such sweet staff members. Will definitely be back again soon! ~ Anna B
Right from the word go, as we stepped into the restaurant to us stepping out after the meal, we had a smile over our faces throughout. This isn’t one of those template positive reviews being written, we genuinely had a great time having that sumptuous meal. Being a strict vegetarian (and trying Persian food for the first time), I was surprised with so many options. The place had its own entertainment aspect - with a local magician enthralling the guests at their tables - kudos to the guy. The staff was courtious in taking their time (even though the place was busy and had line up to get in), and helped us in making our selections by patiently describing what each veg option contains. And honestly the meal hit the spot. Try eggplant dip with Turkish bread for starters and ghourmeh sabji for mains. Highly highly recommend this place!!! 😊👌 ~ Nimeesh K
Shiraz Persian Restaurant is an absolute gem! If you’re a fan of authentic Persian cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Their menu is a delightful journey through Persian flavours, with a wide range of kebabs and meat options, alongside the mouthwatering vegetarian dish like Mirza Ghasemi. What’s more, they have an impressive bar selection and a variety of wine options that pair perfectly with their dishes. But the real star here is the Fesenjan – a divine stew featuring chicken, pomegranate paste, and ground walnuts that delivers an exquisite sweet and sour taste. Giant Kabob Portions! We were looking for a late dinner and on our way back from Pacific Fair Mall, we saw Shiraz Restaurant. We sat Al Fresco where we were greeted & seated immediately. Food was served within 15 minutes! The appetizer - roasted eggplant Kashk E Badenjan was scrumptious! Couldn’t get enough of it but after 1.5 pieces of the turkish bread, I was already getting full. Then came the chips which was really good - surprisingly! When the mains came out, I think all our jaws dropped! The plates we half the size of the table. I reckon 2 people can eat 1 kabob meal! My teenager ordered the 2 skewers but it ended up being way too much for him. Overall we had a great experience! Really enjoyed the food & was happy we passed by this place! My wife and I decided to eat here with our little one after reading some pleasant reviews. We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by the staff, and with special attention given to our baby to make us as comfortable as possible. We ordered the Soltan platter with meats, fish, and rice, as well as and eggplant dip to start, followed by a yoghurt dip to go with the platter. The meats were very well spiced and flavoursome, particularly the chicken and the minced lamb. The eggplant dip was very tasty to start with, and the yoghurt dip went well with the fragrant meats for our main. Even the rice that came with the platter was fluffy and tasty, best I’ve had at a restaurant in a long while. I recommend this place if you’re looking for a family friendly restaurant that does meat well. ~ Steve T
Our group of 11 happened to stop by for lunch at Shiraz over the weekend and every single one of us left raving about this wonderful restaurant! The service was excellent (extra points for putting up with our rambunctious group!) and the food was amazing. We ordered a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian share plates along with some traditional Persian drinks and desserts and couldn’t fault any of them. The portion sizes were generous, the meats were PERFECTLY cooked, there was a good variety of veggo dishes to choose from and all had a real depth of flavour, and the drinks and desserts were refreshing and unique (in a good way!). Personal favourites were the Mirza Ghasemi, the Soltan platter and the Persian Gold drink. The restaurant is cosy and well-decorated and would be suited to date nights and family dinners alike. ~ Vanessa D

Très bon restaurant moyen oriental de la place qui apparaît dans beaucoup de pub, mais malgré tout mérite amplement de s'y rendre. Les prix sont ceux des autres restaurants de l'endroit, mais il y a la quantité dans l'assiette et les sauces sont succulentes. Si vous y allez avec l'opuscule de la gold coast, vous profiterez d'une bon de réduction pas négligeable. Le cadre est magnifique très dans le thème de l'établissement. ~ niaoulis
The portions for the price is sooo good. It felt like a sharing plate rather than a plate for one which is absolutely not a problem. I got the mahiche and it did not disappoint. The meat was soo tender and it was served with 3 types of rice. "3" cos there was saffron rice...and this square of the crusty version, which is surprisingly delicious by the way, and then this other rice that's been cooked with broad beans and dill leaves? Something like that but it was soooo goood. My partner had the mixed grill kebab and it was soo tender and yummy! The chicken and lamb shish was super tender and very flavourful. Definitely reccomend going here if you're in Gold Coast. 10/10 would recommend ~ Warda M
Omg the food was sooo delicious, huge portions too, I think we took as much home as we ate for the 2 person menu! Everything was so tasty They even decorated the dessert plate for my birthday! 🥰 Our server Devansh was an absolute angel, really attentive, one of the best waiters I've had the pleasure of meeting Inna long time. He was also great dealing with my celiac needs, double checked everything with patience and grace, glad to see loads of gluten free options. Some atmospheric live music, dim but clear lighting, clean, comfortable. Drink took a while to come out, but the cherry Shiraz cocktail is absolutely delish. Wow! I’ve been a regular at Shiraz for 9 years (when still back at Surfers) and have always been impressed. Apart from the short period when bedding in the new location (current place), the food has always been great. Having been away for most of 2023, this is my first time back in 12 months and I’m blown away. The menu has improved remarkably, and the quality has too! Yes, prices are higher but the value for money has improved in my opinion. The atmosphere, menu, drinks and staff are extraordinary. Special call out to our server, Isa from Brasil. She was wonderful. Well done, Shiraz! You remain my favourite restaurant in the Gold Coast. ~ Yong T
My husband and I came here on a Wednesday for lunch. They have some great weekly specials and Wednesday was $15 cocktails! I enjoyed a Dragon Fruit Cocktail which was visually appealing and tasted great. There is an extensive menu to suit all types of dietary requirements. As an entree we shared the Mezze Platter. This included four different dips with Turkish Bread and Persian flat bread. As a main we shared a Soltan Platter. This was 3 different skewers. Grilled prawns, minced lamb and chicken. It was served with a variety of rices. All the food was colourful, tasty and ‘fresh’. It left us feeling like we had an amazing healthy meal. The staff were friendly and attentive. There is on street parking or parking available under the restaurant in the Mantra Wings Hotel. We will definitely be back and I have recommended this restaurant to our family and friends! ~ Marina R
